Domestic Solar Solutions

Lincs Solar Solutions can design a cost-effective solar PV system to meet your individual energy and reduce your energy costs. As part of our free, no obligation quote, we provide a comprehensive report which includes, annual usage, generation figures and estimated payback period.

Your new PV system will supply your property with clean, green electricity – and in sunny periods some will also be exported back to the grid. You can keep a track of generation and export figures through the monitoring app.

As part of our service, we manage all aspects of the DNO application. There are different application procedures depending on the size of your system.

On completion of an install customs will receive a handover pack which includes an MCS Certificate (where applicable), Building Control Notification, other commissioning documentation and connection documentation from the DNO.

Things we consider when designing your solar PV system:

Roof Material
We offer in roof and on roof mounting options for a variety of roof types including tiles, slate, metal sheet etc.

The location of the system
We use data from a meteorological model of the intensity of sunlight over the course of the year in different locations.

The orientation of the system
Solar panels that face South receive most sunlight and are very efficient at energy production. Solar panels that face East or West receive less sunlight so a larger array may be required to obtain the same efficiency as a South facing roof.

The degree of shading
If you have trees, neighbouring buildings or nearby high ground that will shade your PV array, the output of the system will be reduced. We used a ‘sunpath diagram’ that estimates how often sunlight will be blocked from reaching the panels.
